Milky silver in colour, the next generation SWIV360 cables have the same properties as the much-loved red and blue TWIST cables PLUS an added swivel feature. The cables consist of a multi-strand, steel cable coated with silver nylon that are memory-free and never kink. Plus, when you join them to the interchangeable tips you get a beautifully smooth join with a connection that stays tightly done up.
Lifeline holes can be found at each end of these cables. Insert the T-shaped tightening key into the lifeline hole to assist with securing your tip/cable connection. Both steel and bamboo Chiaogoo tips will work with SWIV360 cables.
Available in Small [S] and Large [L]. Tips sold separately.
Important interchangeable tip & cable connections:
- 2.75mm - 5mm tips connect with the SMALL size cables
- 5.5mm - 10mm tips connect with the LARGE size cables
Skein Sisters' reviews: We've all had a try of these new cables and so far the reaction has been very positive. Being lighter weight than the red cables, there's a feeling of lightness when using them and all the tension of the red cable is taken away. Deb has trouble with her needles coming undone when doing stitches such as long-tail cast on (where there's lots of twisting), and found that the swivel action completely stops this problem. Hooray! The only thing to get used to is that the junction where the cable meets the metal is not quite so smooth as the red cable but you just have to get used to sliding the stitches on slightly differently so that they don't catch.
