Now available as this fabulous book, The Fruit Garden Crochet Blanket by Jane Crowfoot is a must make for any serious crocheter. The stunning design is inspired by the exquisite hand embroidery and tapestry designs of May Morris of the Arts and Crafts Movement.
Designed by Jane Crowfoot (Janie Crow) and first released as a crochet along (CAL) in 2020, this project took the world by storm with crocheters across the globe coming together to create their own heirloom pieces, whilst learning new techniques and stitch combinations along the way. Read more about it on the Janie Crow blog.
The book has all the patterns and crochet charts needed for the motif designs to complete the blanket. Includes clear step-by-step images, testimonials and background information about the author's inspiration and design process. Choose from four fabulous colourways, including a brand new colourway called "Red House" which is exclusive to the book.
Yarn required:
Jane uses DK weight yarn to make her blanket. Choose from our range of DK / 8ply yarns. Crochet a summer weight blanket using one of our fabulous DK cottons and cotton blends, or try our woollen range for a warmer blanket to snuggle under in winter.
Equipment needed to make the blanket:
- 3.5mm (US E/4), 4mm (US G/6) and 4.5mm (US 7) crochet hooks
- Stitch markers (we recommend split ring or opening stitch markers for crochet)
- Tapestry needle
Note: errata
A small error has been spotted on Page 34 of the book - Round 4.
The sts should be worked into skipped sts made with yarn (J) for the 4th colourway and
not yarn (I) as written. You can find an updated page top download by following this link.
