Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (TML) is a single ply fingering weight yarn made from 100% superwash merino wool. Tosh Merino Light works up beautifully into a luxurious fabric making it the perfect option for scarves, shawls and garments.
Each incredibly soft skein of TML is hand-dyed in small dye lots and there is an absolutely gorgeous range of colours. Partner it with Madelinetosh Impression to add some fluff to your life!

- Needle size: 2.25mm - 2.75mm / US 1-2
- Knit gauge: 26-30 sts to 10cm
- Hook size: 2.25mm-3.5mm / US B1 - E4
- Crochet gauge: 21-32 sts to 10cm
- Machine wash cold on gentle cycle, air dry flat
- Dyed by hand in Texas from wool ethically sourced in South Africa

Madelinetosh Hue of the Moment
Madelinetosh already have a pretty extensive library of colours, but there's no such thing as too many!. This is where their Hue of the Moment comes in. Each month they debut a new hand-dyed shade (or shades!), and all of their Hue of the Moment colours for 2024 are available dyed to order.
The Hue of the Moment for July 2024 is Emotional Support Water Bottle: inspired by water bottle colours – and their growing collection of same – Madtosh created this splashy colour as a quencher for July. Emotional Support Water Bottle, a bright woobie of a hue that celebrates our hydration status and status consciousness in covetable shades of aqua, bubble gum, grape, & tangerine.
Blends breathtakingly with Rose, Dubrovnik, Ken-Ergy and Voodoo. Shawl pictured is Hydration Station by Lena Skvagerson.
MT x Barker Wool Assigned pooling colours
Assigned Pooling pairs hand-dyed yarn with bold colour changes and special stitches that pop colour transitions. The result is fabrics with splashy daubs of colour that resemble embroidery. How the dyed-to-order service works
We are able to supply any of Madelinetosh's current bases and colours as a dye-to-order service! The colours shown are Madelinetosh's Core 150, Hues of the Moment, plus a selection of other popular colours. If the colour you want isn't shown here please contact us as we can arrange for any of their colours to be dyed to order on any base.
Madelinetosh's online retail store is currently unable to ship to Australia, as the United States Postal Service has suspended international mail acceptance for Australia due to impacts related to the COVID-19 pandemic and other unrelated service disruptions.
Dyed to order means that after you place an order with us, we will pass it on to Madelinetosh. If they don't have it in stock, they then expertly hand dye your colour choice, which makes each skein unique and special just for you.
Once your order is ready, it will be included in our regular shipment of our in-stock bases. Deliveries to us arrive every six to eight weeks.
Refunds
Please be aware that we are unable to refund any Madelinetosh that has been dyed-to-order due to change of mind. Refunds will only be given if the yarn is faulty.
If the colour differs slightly from the image, it is not a fault. Due to the differing nature of each base, colours will vary from base to base, but as Madelinetosh prides themselves on their quality control process we are confident that what you receive will be the correct colour.
PLEASE NOTE: Dyed by hand in small batches, Madelinetosh yarns do not come in dye lots. The beauty of hand-dyed yarns is that each hank is a unique work of art, so please be aware that there can be a variation in coloring, hue and saturation, even within the same dye batch. We suggest using two skeins and alternating rows to ensure there is no obvious line when you change skeins.
