With a blend of 70% Australian superwash merino, 20% nylon, and 10% silk, we designed Poet to have exceptional softness, luxury and a subtle sheen along with strength and durability. This versatile yarn is perfect for garments, textured accessories like shawls, cowls, scarves, and beanies — and, thanks to its nylon content, it’s even ideal for cosy socks with a tight gauge of 24 sts per 10cm.

- Care: Gentle hand wash. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
- Hand dyed in our studio in Sydney Australia.
Poet and mohair? Yes! We've swatched this combo and it's lush! We get 17 sts on 5mm needles, and 16 sts on 6mm. Perfect for so many wonderful patterns!
Each skein of Poet is hand-dyed, creating beautifully unique variations. For the best results in larger projects, we recommend alternating skeins.

Skein Sisters Yarns are hand-dyed in Dulwich Hill in Sydney, Australia, just a few doors up from our shop. Skein Sisters is on the country of the Bedigal, Wangal and Kameygal people of the Eora Nation.
As a hand-dyed yarn, each skein is unique. While we take great care to ensure consistency across dyelots, we recommend alternating skeins when working on larger projects.
